Mountain High Outfitters Packing List

Backpacking Trip- 1 week

(This was created for a Havasu Falls trip in Arizona for 5 people. Adjust to weather/duration of your trip)

Personal Gear

• 2 pair wool socks (2 pair liners also if you prefer)*
• 1 or 2 t-shirts*
• 1 pair shorts (that can get wet)*
• 1 pair lightweight pants or zip-off pants
• 1+ underwear (You can always bring Dr. Bronner’s to wash clothes.)
• 1 pair hiking boots*
• 1 pair sandals i.e. Chacos.. (that you can swim in not flip-flops.)*
• 1 sports Bra…if you need that sort of thing*
• 1 pair moisture-wicking long underwear, bottoms and tops. i.e. Capilene
• 1 fleece top (and bottom if you have such a thing)*
• 1 light jacket
• 1 stocking cap (essential)
• 1 pair gloves (not essential)
• 1 flashlight/ headlamp with new batteries
• 1 backpack
• Ability to carry at least 3 liters of water
• 1 sleeping bag
• 1 ground pad
• 1 Camp pillow (not essential)
• 1 spoon/fork
• 1 small bowl
• 1 mug
• 1-2 bandanas
• Sunglasses/Cap*
• Raingear (Could be the same as your lightweight coat)
• Toothbrush/toothpaste, dental floss
• Medications
• Camera
• Some extra girly gear, if you need that sort of thing
• Knee braces/ hiking poles, if you need that sort of thing

* Means that you might not pack this…you might wear it!

Group Gear

• Tents
• 2 stoves
• Lighters/matches
• 2 pots (w/ lids?)
• 1-2 Leatherman/knives
• 2 water filters
• Camp soap
• Sunscreen
• 1-2 first aid kits
• Food hanging rope (for bear country)
• Food hanging bags (for bear country)
• 2 trowels (Poop shovels)
• Toilet paper
• Ziploc bags (leave no trace)
